Breaking: President Tinubu in closed-door meeting with govs

The Nigeria Governors’ Forum, or NGF, is hosting a meeting in the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa in Abuja with the governors of the 36 states that make up the federation.

The meeting, which is his maiden meeting with the governors since he assumed office on May 29, commenced at about 12:36pm.

Some of those present at the meeting include the governors of Zamfara, Kano, Taraba, Kogi, Ogun, Nasarawa, Bayelsa, Adamawa, Ebonyi, Lagos, Rivers, Osun, Jigawa, Benue, Taraba, Delta, Enugu, Rivers, Oyo, Plateau, Kebbi, Abia, Imo, Bauch

The deputy governors of Edo and Niger are representing their states.

Those not sighted before the commencement meeting are governors of Katsina, Kaduna, Gombe, Borno, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Ekiti and Sokoto.

Also attending the meeting are Vice President Kashim Shettima, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Senator George Akume.

It will be recalled that President Tinubu had last week Friday, met with the Progressive Governors Forum, which is a forum for governors elected on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC.
