After 34 days out of the country, Nigeria’s President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu returned back from France on Monday to a tumultuous welcome.
Tinubu’s return is for him to prepare ahead of his historic swearing-in on 29 May, 2023. While away, he travelled from France to Saudi Arabia for the Lesser Hajj. His visit to Saudi Arabia was controlled as no photo came out from the visit.

He returned stronger and refreshed on Monday as party faithful cheered him on. A crowd was at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport to receive him.

Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima was at the airport along with other party chieftains to welcome him back home.
President at the airport were the Speaker, House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; Senator Olamilekan Solomon, Governor of Plateau State, Solomon Lalong, among others.

APC supporters were heard singing ‘On your mandate we shall stand, Bola, on your mandate we shall stand,” while others were simply chanting ‘Jagaban, Jagaban.’

Tinubu was seen waving at the crowd and took photos with them, but he was well protected by security operatives.
