Breaking: Aviation workers strike, block roads to airport

Aviation workers in Lagos have shutdown roads leading to the airport as they begin a two-day warning strike.

Their strike, according to their leadership, is to drive home their demands from the federal government.

Their demands include non payment of minimums wage arrears, and cancellation of planned demolition of workers offices at lagos office.

The strike is happening after the meeting called by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) ended in a stalemate with the unions insisting on going ahead with the strike.

The Director-General, Civil Aviation, Capt. Musa Nuhu, called the meeting aimed at prevailing on the unions to shelve their planned two-day warning strike with representatives of the unions in attendance
