The Secretary, All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke on Saturday officially joined Kogi state gubernatorial race.
Faleke, a high ranking member of the Federal House of Representatives is an accomplished politician with in-depth knowledge on grassroot mobilitisation who ran joint ticket for Lugard House with Prince Abubakar Audu in 2015.
The Ijumu born politician had remained quiet, and off Kogi politics officially after the near experience that was truncated by constitutional provisions of the land in 2015 over whether he or now Gov Yahaya Bello should replace the late Abubakar Audu as governor.
Verity News learnt that Faleke’s bosom friend, one Alhaji Sanusi Abubakar (popularly known as Sanusi Gamji) from Kogi central bought the APC Governorship Form on his behalf from the National Secretariat.
Copy of the transaction seen by this newspaper indicated that Mr. Abubakar paid and obtained expression of Intent form for Faleke with the sum of fifty million naira only (50m).
Alhaji Sanusi Gamji told a circle of well wishers that he obtained the form for Hon.James Faleke in support of Kogi West extraction to produce the next Governor of the confluence state.
The multi millionaire explained that his decision was “based on his desire for equity, justice and fairplay in the State.”
As at press time , it was not clear whether James Abiodun Faleke, a sitting Mp, Ikeja Federal constituency would accept this sumptuous offer from his bosom friend.
