Gospel singer Sonnie Badu has hailed Ozzy Okposo, the wife of the late gospel singer, Sammie Okposo for how she stood by him during his challenging period months ago.
Sharing a photo of the late Sammie Okposo and his beautiful wife on Instagram moments ago, Sonnie Badu wrote “I just want to say thank you to Mrs. Okposo. You are a good woman. You stood behind your husband until the end. He said so many good things about you in his challenging moments.. Thank you, thank you, thank you for covering him when he needed it .. Rest well #LandLord #RipSammieOkposo”
While further mourning Sammie Okposo, Soonie Badu wrote “May-day… May-day a soldier is down !! @sammieokposo LANDLORD… You not picking up your phone… JESUS !!! Africa has just lost a General… The world of gospel music has lost a General … BROTHER BROTHER REST IN PEACE … Rest well .. WELU-WELU master..”
Recalled that the music producer, Sammie Okposo on Friday morning died. He was aged 51.
Okposo made headlines early in the year after he publicly apologized to his wife, Ozioma for cheating on her with another lady in the United States.
In the apology which was shared on his Instagram page, the singer lamented over the incident which he noted happened in 2021.
The singer further stated that the development has seen him step aside from ministerial work until “full restoration.”
