Persons, including elderly women were beaten to death by youths from Ndon Nwong community in Odukpani Local Government, Cross River State.
Sources revealed that the victims were accused of being witches and were taken to the village square where they were beaten to death.
The incident took place on October 13, 2022.
A relative of one of the victims who spoke with our correspondent, called on security operatives to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to book.
Police authorities were yet to react as at the time of filling this report.
