Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in the 2023 general election, Atiku Abubakar and Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State met in Abuja on Thursday.
The duo who have been having a running battle since the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primary met at the house of Professor Jerry Gana.
According to a source, the politicians agreed to set aside their differences and work together in the interest of the party.
The source said they agreed that a small committee would be set up to look into areas where the camps of Wike and Atiku can work together.
The committee would then report to the panel that the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT) set up to resolve the crisis.
VerityNews recalls that Wike’s camp has been aggrieved with way and manner he was humiliated and dumped after Atiku allegedly promised to choose him as his running mate and his nomination as the favoured candidate by the committee set up by Atiku himself
