Former Arsenal star, Kevin Campbell has predicted defender, William Saliba, to win the Gunners’ Player of the 2022/23 season.
Campbell believes the French star is going to enjoy a massive 2022/23 season at the Emirates Stadium.
Saliba, who spent last season on loan at Marseille, will have to dislodge either Ben White or Gabriel Magalhaes to start at centre-half for Arsenal this season.
“Do you know what, guys, I’m going to go for Saliba,” Campbell told the Highbury Squad YouTube channel (as quoted by The Evening Standard).
I see a different defence with him and Gabriel in it. I know Ben White did a fantastic job last season, I can’t deny that, but I think with these two at the back, at times, we may play a three.”
He added: “This guy, Van Dijk, with his experience, is a Rolls Royce, but this guy has to be a top of the range Bentley, hasn’t he? He’s been unbelievable.”
