A former Editor of The Democratic newspaper and New Nigeria Newspaper, Malam Abdulhamid Babatunde, has died.
He was said to have died in his sleep last night in Kaduna.
He was Editor of the popular Kaduna-based The Democrat newspaper published by late Malam Ismaila Isa Funtua, after working with the New Nigerian Newspaper for many years.
Born on February 26, 1956, Mal. Babatunde Agaka, attended Capital School Kaduna, before proceeding to Barewa College Zaria and Government Secondary School Ilorin.
He joined the service of the New Nigerian in 1974, and joined the services of The Democrat in 1988, till 1997 when he went into media consultancy.
Mal. Babatunde Agaka, who attended the NUJ, Lagos was also a Fellow of the Nigerian Guild of Editors.
