Nigerian singer, Folarin Falana popularly known by his stage name Falz has bemoaned the state of things in the country.
The singer revealed that he has become tired of feeling sad, ashamed and helpless.
Falz made this known as he reacted to the statement of Senator Shehu Sani where he claimed the government had spent over N4 trillion naira on defence in seven years yet the country is still living under the Mercy of terrorists.
Shehu tweeted, “The Government spent over N4 trillion naira on defence in Seven years; including a Billion Dollar for Tucano jets and another close to a Billion Dollar on attack helicopters; And we are still living at the mercy of a roving gang of terrorists on motorcycles”.
Reacting to it, Falz questioned when statement like this becomes too ridicules.
“At what point those this shit become too ridiculous?!
I’m really tired of feeling sad, ashamed and helpless”.
Falz, had declined the invite for a peace walk from Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
In a post shared on the microblogging platform Twitter, Falz opined that the suggestion of a walk for peace sounded like a joke and very disrespectful.
Falz recalled how people were murdered in cold blood, and no iota of justice had been served for more than a year after the incident.
The rapper questioned Sanwo-Olu on how there would be peace when justice had not been served on behalf of Nigerians who had their lives snatched away by the armed forces.
Falz also questioned Sanwo-Olu if he wanted to sweep the issue of murdered citizens under the carpet, adding that young Nigerians were still constantly been harassed and extorted by Police officers.
