A woman has been knocked down by a speeding motorcycle at a polling unit in Saturday’s council election in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
According to Vanguard, the middle-aged woman has been feared dead after she was knocked down.
The woman was attempting to cross the road to the polling unit at PU048, Salasi opposite Post Office in Karu, Abuja Municipal Area Council, when the tragedy occured.
Voters apprehended the motorcyclist and handed him over to security operatives deployed for the election.
The police is yet to comment on the incident.
Recalls that the FCT Police Command announced the restriction of movements from 8am to 3pm to enable voters cast vote for the candidates of their choice.
