Socialite and businessman, Obinna Iyiegbu, aka Obi Cubana, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The Anambra-born tycoon, who arrived the headquarters of the EFCC at Jabi Abuja at about noon on Monday, was still being interrogated by operatives of the Commission as at 10:30 pm.
Though allegations against the socialite were sketchy as of press time but sources have disclosed that his case borders on alleged money laundering and tax fraud.
Spokesperson of the Commission, Wilson Uwujaren when contacted, according to the Vanguard, said he was yet to be briefed on the development.
Obi Cubana made headlines earlier in the year after a lavish burial ceremony for his mother where he was seen hanging out with the now suspended police detective, DCP Abba Kyari following his indictment by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the Hushpuppi $1.1 million fraud case.
