He noted that “there’s a disconnect and lack of understanding even at governmental levels, as young people continue to do things that government doesn’t seem to understand” especially in respect to digital economy, and that there’s the need to make the youths who are the ones capable of helping to grow the country’s digital technology, feel and share a part in the decision making process rather than being alienated so, there’s a need for reformation, reorientation, empowerment and accountability on the parts of the leaders and the citizens so that the country can take a lead role in digital technology of our subcontinent.

One of the guest speakers at the event, Andy Madaki (CEO Decy4 technologies), said that beyond the problem of unemployment faced by the Nigerian youths, is also the problem of unfavourable policies of government which inhibit ease of business, citing the social media bill by the National Assembly and the Twitter ban by the federal government as instances and stressing, that it’s high time the nation recognized and key into the leadership capacity of the Nigerian youths.

The event had as special guest, wife of the founder, Reset Nigeria Initiative, Princess Adama Ado Ibrahim. Other guest speakers at the event include Mela A. Nunghe (SAN), Dr. Onouha Nnachi (GMD/CEO TTL Group), Saadatu Hamu Aliyu, Promise Ameha.
