Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Friday she has no N60b to complete abandoned 5km road project across 44 local area Council of the state.

Ganduje who hosted journalists at an interactive session at the Government House , Kano, shortly after the 61st independence celebrations at the Sani Abacha Stadium, however assured his readiness to complete all projects initiated by his administration.

He said we inherited projects initiated during Sardauna’s era, we completed projects abandoned by previous administrations that included my predecessor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, but I don’t have N60b to complete the abandoned 5km road project by him.

Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso had at the twilight of his administration in 2015 awarded a multi-million naira 5km road across the 44 local government area of the state that was abandoned among many projects by the former governor.

Dr. Ganduje explained: “we don’t intend to live behind any projects embarked upon by my administration, things are going on as planned, and there are hopes that the contractors will deliver as scheduled. “

Ganduje’s assurances came amid growing concerns by citizens that most of the ongoing project started by Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje would be abandoned to swell the rank of uncompleted projects in the state.
