
Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, was on Thursday rushed to the hospital after he slumped at a function in the Presidential Villa Abuja.
The EFCC boss slumped while delivering a speech at the third National Identity Day celebration at the Banquet Hall of the Villa.
Bawa, who was speaking about increase in identity crimes across Nigeria after the commission arrested a man with 116 SIM cards in Ibadan, Oyo state, suddenly stopped talking and slumped.
He was immediately assisted to a seat by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Pantami,who was close to him.
At the time of filling this report, the medical condition of the 4I-year-old Bawa was unclear.
