Bagauda Technical College Kano has been shut down over security threats.
The state commissioner of education Sanusi Sa’id Kiru disclosed this in a press release he issued to Blueprint early Tuesday morning.
According to him, the decision to close the school became imperative following a disturbing security report and the need to protect the lives of the students, teachers and staff of the college.
He therefore urged parents to immediately evacuate their children from the college and wait for further directives from the government.
“The closure of the college was necessitated following a disturbing security report and the need to protect the lives of the students, teachers and other staff of the college.
We express appreciation of the state government to parent’s/ guardians for their unflinching support and cooperation on government’s policies and directives especially on security related matters,” he said.
