The policewoman, Sergeant Olawoye Bukola, who was shot during the Saturday’s Ekiti East Constituency 1 by-election in Ekiti State has been confirmed dead.
She was among those shot when violence broke out during the by-election
The Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, who revealed this via his verified twitter handle said the officer eventually died on Monday after battling to survice
Fayemi then condoled with the family of the deceased and also the Nigeria Police Force for their loss.
