Alhaji Abdullahi Bello Kalos, a Kano business tycoon abducted from his residence at Minjibir 4 days ago has regained his freedom.
Close associates told newsmen that the man returned home around 4:00am on Saturday.
It was however not clear whether ransom was paid to his abductors who in a brazen operation on Wednesday night burnt down police van, and thwarted police rescue mission.
Confirming his release, DSP Haruna Abdullahi Kiyawa , the Police public Relations Officer, Kano command said details of the release are still sketchy.
He disclosed that “yes, I can confirm to you that the businessman has regained his freedom, but details of what led to what are for now sketchy. “
