A popular eatery spot known as Small Gate where Amala joint had been before around in Maitama, Abuj has been demolished again by Abuja Environmental Protection Board (AEPB).
Eye witnesses at scene said at foundation level, the building was marked for demolition but the new owner went ahed to build the place after he was officially asked to stop.
At about 11am, the building was still standing, but by 1.05pm, it had been reduced to rubbles.
But one of the eye witnesses who is close to the alleged owner said the owner’s husband is a top police officer.
He alleged that the owner paid over N10 million to Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) officials to develop the contentious green area.
