Femi Adesina, President Muhammadu Buhari’s Media Adviser, has advanced reasons why his principal did not speak on the alleged shooting of EndSARS protesters at Lekki Tollgate in Lagos State couple of days ago.
In a televised address to Nigerians on Thursday, President Buhari had urged the protesters to leave the streets as their demands were being addressed.
Adesina who was a guest on Channels Television programme, Politics Today on Friday evening, said authorities of the Nigerian Army and the Lagos State government, had begun investigation into the incident.
He noted that any attempt by President Buhari to speak on the what transpired at Lekki would be “presumptuous.”
