
Residents of Nigeria’s capital Abuja including travelers on Friday spent all night on the Abuja airport road following vigil by #ENDSARS protesters to push home their demands.
The protesters, blocked the highway as from Friday afternoon till Saturday morning.
Many motorists were forced to turn back to the city centre where they spent the night before heading home and their various destination when the protesters eventually gave way as from 3am on Saturday.
The massive crowd of protesters, who said they were having a festival of light, held up candlelights and their phone lights to honour victims of the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
They said they were going to spend the night there and all of Saturday until Sunday.
It was gathered some pastors have decided to visit them there and preach to them as well as identify with their struggle.
