The Kano Police Command on Thursday rescued a 55- year old man identified as Murtala Muhammad that was unlawfully confined to a solitary room for 30 years by his relatives at Rogo local government area of Kano state.
The victim of the latest solitary confinement in Kano was 25 years old when on account of psychiatric challenges was tied to a log in a room without window.
DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, spokesman of the Kano Police Command, while Confirming the incident to reporters in Kano said the victim has been admitted into a medical facility in Rogo Local Government.
DSP Kiyawa explained that already an investigation has been launched into the matter.
