The Nigeria Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has fined Nigeria Info 99.3FM Lagos the sum of N5 million.

This was for providing its platform to be used to promote unverifiable and inciting views that can incite crime, public disorder.

Former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Obadiah Mailafia, had said one of the governors in the Northern state is a Boko Haram member without providing evidence of his claim in a programme that was aired on Nigeria Info.

Mailafia was invited by the DSS yesterday and was released after some hours.
