Patron of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Kaduna state chapter, Engr. Musa Nimrod has magnanimously donated palliatives to members of the Association.
A statement signed by the Secretary Kaduna SWAN, Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson on Wednesday, said that Engr. Nimrod, who is also the President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) made the donation through the executives of the association, led by its Chairman, Comrade Isaiah Kemje Benjamin.
The donations, according to Engr. Nimrod were aimed at cushioning the effects of Covid-19 lockdown, which has affected members of the association.
“We are grateful to our able patron for this gesture. Our members are excited and are praying to God to keep protecting and blessing Engr Nimrod,” it stated.
Dickson added that all eligible members of the association would be contacted on where and when to receive their share of the food items by Friday.
It would be recalled that several individuals and corporate organisations have been reaching out to Nigerians with palliatives following the outbreak of Coronavirus and the resultant lockdown in Nigeria.
