Corps De Progressive, a community-based organisation in Kogi State, has described the appointment of Professor Marietu Tenuche as the Acting Vice Chancellor of the Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba as well deserved.
In a statement signed by the President of the organization, Engr. Bashir Salawudeen and Secretary General, Abdulkarim Zubair, the group expressed confidence in the ability of Professor Tenuche to provide purposeful leadership in the university and urged the new Vice Chancellor to use her wealth of experience as a pioneer staff of the institution to propel the school to a higher pedestal in research and human capital development.
The statement which noted that Professor Tenuche would use her institutional memory to restore industrial harmony and stability to the university further assured that the group would support the new Vice Chancellor in promoting access to education and youth empowerment in all parts of the state.
The group also commended Governor Yahaya Bello for the choice of Professor Tenuche whom it described as one of the shining lights of the present administration in the state.
