JAMB now signature symbol of anti-curruption war-Edu. Minister

The Minister of Education, Mal. Adamu Adamu has expressed satisfaction in the efforts of the Registrar of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Professor Is’haq Oloyede to reposition the board, referring to him (and the board) as symbolic signature of the anti-curruption war.

Mal Adamu said Nigerians are happy with JAMB because the registrar represents the hope that Nigeria is not irredeemable.

The minister made the remark at JAMB headquarters in Bwari during the commissioning of the new General Services Department buildings and two 1000 and 500 kva generators.

The minister also commended the Registrar for introducing Central Admission Precesses (CAPs) which he said has guaranteed due process, fairness and equity in admission to universities. He urged all institutions of higher learning to do their admissions through CAPS, as failure to do so would mean working against JAMB’s guidelines and rules.

He said Nigerians must change the narrative, and their mindsets about curruption in the country.

The Registrar on his part appreciated the minister for his support for JAMB, revealing that the new office was built at the cost of N89,470,000 while the two giant generators cost N141, 276,000
