
Governors Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano state, Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state, Bala Muhammed of Bauchi state have all been declared duly elected by the Supreme Court.
Their election held on March 9, 2019.
The apex court dismissed the appeal of Abba K. Yusuf (PDP, Kano) challenging the election of Governor Ganduje for lacking in merit. It also dismissed Aliyu Ahmad (APC, Sokoto) appeal against Governor Tambuwal.
Similarly the Supreme Court also dismissed the appeal of ex-governor Abdullahi Muhammed of Bauchi against current governor, Bala Muhammed of PDP as lacking in merit.
Both Tambuwal and Bala Muhammed won on the platform of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) while Ganduje contested under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
