Kogi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday demanded he immediate transfer of the state’s Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Busari, and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) Prof. James Apam.
The call was made by the party’s executives in Lokoja Local Government after its stakeholders meeting.
The party believed that both Busari and Apam would compromise, and also favour the opposition in the coming governorship election, hence the need for their transfer from the state.
This was contained in a communique signed by the party chairman in Lokoja, Abu-Bakr Idris.

However, the party also warned against deploying Dr. Amina Zakari, national commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to oversee the election.
It also passed a vote of confidence in the Nigerian Army (Records) Command and the DSS in Lokoja, saying they had lived up to their billing in the conduct of elections in the state.
While calling on party members across the state to be steadfast and work for the party’s victory, the party also reiterated its commitment to ensure victory for the party and its candidate, Musa Wada.
