Ex-drug addicted US pastor who attempted suicide 3-times shares testimony At Dunamis church

US pastor, Tony Carpenter, has shared a powerful testimony of deliverance from drug addiction and three suicide attempts at Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Abuja.

Speaking at the church’s Glory Dome, Carpenter recounted his struggle with addiction and how God’s intervention saved his life.

“I tried to kill myself three times, but God rescued me. I feel the same power of transformation here,” he said.

Carpenter, who travelled from Baltimore, USA, described his visit to Dunamis as life-changing, saying he was overwhelmed by God’s presence on entering the church.

“The moment I walked into the Glory Dome, I felt God’s presence like a hurricane. I couldn’t move; I just began to weep. It felt like being born again,” he said.

Accompanying him, Pastor Nick from Frankfurt, Germany, echoed similar sentiments, describing the experience as transformative.

Local testimonies also highlighted the church’s impact, with a pastor in Abuja revealing how a prophetic declaration from Dr. Paul Enenche saved a church member from a plane crash caused by a bird strike. Another pastor from Southern Nigeria testified that his family had received multiple prophetic interventions through Dunamis’ midnight prayer sessions.

In response, Dr. Paul Enenche urged worshippers to value divine encounters.

“Many people are surrounded by grace but take it for granted. Jesus wept over Jerusalem because they failed to recognise their visitation. Don’t make the same mistake,” he cautioned.
