Kenyan woman shares journey of transformation after husband’s infidelity

A Kenyan woman, Caroline Muchoki has narrated how she decided to reinvent herself after she found out eight years ago that her husband fathered two children outside their matrimonial home.
 
The mother of four narrated who disclosed this in a Facebook post on Monday, February 24, 2025, said prior to the shocking and life-changing discovery, she was content being a housewife, a good wife and mother. 

While Caroline remained married to her husband despite the betrayal, she decided to reinvent herself and change her identity outside being a wife and mother.
 
According to her, she quit being a housewife, started three businesses, went back to school for an MBA, started golfing, and raised her bank balance. 

She advised women to “Raise your family but also raise yourself.”
 
“2017. 8 years ago. This was the calm before the storm that would send me into midterm for 2 years before kulamba glucose na kurudi. I was a content housewife. No dreams or aspirations outside being a good wife. My focus was kids and mubaba. I raised them and forgot myself
,” she wrote.
     
”I was such a happy wife that I didn’t realise I had 2 whole step children existing out there who turned 2 years that year.
     
Talk about living in a bubble.
     
Fast forward 2025, the step kids are 10 years old now.
     
 I didn’t die. Lol. ( The way my heart beat when I was told I was sure I would kuf dead)
     
 I quit being a housewife.
     
I RAISED MYSELF. Went for my MBA. Doing a second MBA now. Started 3 new businesses. Started Golfing. Started Girlcations (I could never travel previously without my man my man my man) Raised my bank balance. Dived into Selfcare and Self-love.
