Flying Eagles will outperform Egypt, South Africa, Morocco in U-20 AFCON race – Unuanel

Former Kwara United coach Samson Unuanel believes the Flying Eagles must be hungry and determined if they are to qualify for the knockout stages of the 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations.

The seven-time champions have been grouped alongside Egypt, South Africa, and Morocco in Group B of the tournament

Reacting to the draw, Unuanel told Completesports.com that with the right mentality and approaches to each game, the Flying Eagles will qualify from the group.

He also noted that Egypt, South Africa, and Morocco are tough opponents, but Nigeria will come out better than them.

“It’s a very tough group to have Egypt, South Africa, and Morocco, but I am optimistic that the players will be ready for the challenges.

“They are aware that the World Cup ticket will also be at stake, and to achieve that, they must find a way to first qualify from the difficult group.

“I want to believe that with hard work and determination, the Flying Eagles will make it through to the next round of the tournament.”
