Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo has signed into law the 2025 budget estimates of 582.4 Billion Naira marking a significant step in the state’s financial planning in the new year.
In a short ceremony that took place on Monday at the Conference Hall of the Government House in Lokoja,
Governor Ododo expressed gratitude to the State House of Assembly for their swift and prompt action in reviewing and approving the 2025 budget estimates.
He commended the collaborative spirit between the executive and legislative arms of government, emphasizing the importance of unity in driving the state’s development agenda in the overall best interest of the people.
Governor Ododo urged the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Honourable Aliyu Umar to continue with the commendable work ethic, underscoring the positive working relationship enjoyed by both branches of government.
He assured the Assembly that the executive would continue to work in conjunction with members of the assembly for a prosperous and better Kogi State.
Earlier in his remarks, Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Aliyu Umar said the State House of Assembly embarked on the review of the 2025 budget estimates with due diligence and ensured that all items were dealt with expeditiously by members for the inclusive development of the state.
The 2025 budget of N582.4 Billion which is now an Act sets the tone for the state’s priorities in the coming year, as both the legislature and the executive have demonstrated commitment work towards the successful implementation of the proposed plans for inclusive growth and development of the state.
