An investigation into the disappearance of Ms. Keziah Nuhu Kyanchat, a University of Jos student, has uncovered disturbing allegations against Mr. Honor Sirawoo, a participant in the Senior Executive Course 46 at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS).
Ms. Kyanchat, a resident of Bauchi King Road, Jos, was reported missing on November 8, 2024, at the Nassarawa Gwom Police Station. Her sister, Mrs. Catherine Gimbiya Nuhu, alleged that Mr. Sirawoo falsely accused Ms. Kyanchat of stealing $500 from him on October 24.
“He reported my sister at Ketu District Police Station, but failed to show up when summoned,” Mrs. Nuhu stated. “He didn’t stop at false accusations; he went further to publish malicious contents about my sister on social media.”
Mrs. Nuhu revealed that Mr. Sirawoo’s actions led to her sister’s mental breakdown before her disappearance. “Ever since their relationship turned sour, my sister has been subjected to cruelty and intimidation,” Mrs. Nuhu said.
When contacted, Mr. Sirawoo denied knowledge of Ms. Kyanchat’s disappearance. “I don’t know anything about a missing person named Keziah,” Mr. Sirawoo claimed. However,
Mrs. Nuhu insists that Mr. Sirawoo’s actions are responsible for her sister’s disappearance. “We want authorities to hold Mr. Sirawoo accountable with arrest, investigation, and prosecution as provided by law,” Mrs. Nuhu urged.
The Plateau State Police Command has been contacted for comment, but no response has been received at the time of publication. Mrs. Nuhu appealed to the public to provide information on Ms. Kyanchat’s whereabouts. “We are worried sick about Keziah’s safety, and we plea to anyone with information to come forward,” Mrs. Nuhu said.
The National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) has been reached for comment regarding Mr. Sirawoo’s involvement in the Senior Executive Course 46. Their response is pending.
The investigation is ongoing, and this report will continue to follow developments in the case.
Mrs. Nuhu emphasized that her family is seeking justice for Ms. Kyanchat. “We will not rest until the truth is revealed and justice is served,” Mrs. Nuhu vowed.
