Ethiopian Airlines has restricted the use of ‘Ghana Must Go’ bags as a means of packing baggage on all its flights.
The airline cited the destruction of its conveyor belt system as the reason for its latest decision
In a letter addressed to the South West Regional General Manager of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), ET’s Manager, Airport Services, Henok Gizachew, said that passengers who wish to use that particular type of bag to travel must have same well packed in a carton or hardcover of rectangular size.
“Please be informed that effective November 25, 2023, the use of Ghana Must Go to travel on our flight is hereby prohibited. The use of Ghana Must Go as a means of packing baggage has cost the airline huge loss and also damaging the conveyor belt system, not only on our flight but also on that of foreign airlines, hence the prohibition.
Passengers who wish to use Ghana Must Go to travel must have same well packed in a carton or hardcover of rectangle size,” Gizachew said.
