Former Nigeria’s Minister of Interior, Bello Maitama Yusuf, has passed on.
A close ally of the deceased, Hussaini Dalhatu, confirmed the death of the 76-year old former lawmaker.
According to him, the funeral prayer of the Sardauna Dutse would take place after Jumu’at prayer at the Emir of Kano’s palace.
Until his death on Friday, he was a former senator from 1999-2007.
Bello Maitama Yusuf, born in Gwaram, Jigawa State in 1947, was minister of interior in 1981 and minister of commerce in 1982.
