Afro-pop singer, Konga has slammed Don Jazzy for refusing to acknowledge the role he played in introducing Wande Coal to him.
Verity News recalls that Don Jazzy had said in an interview that he was hurt when Wande Coal left Mavin Records.
Shedding light on how he introduced Wande Coal to Don Jazzy and D’banj, Konga wrote:”I did what I did to help WC being a young talented student of UNILAG to achieve his dreams which I knew will definitely uplift Mohit records to attain another level in the entertainment industry as at then and having him on Mohit actually boosted their brand in all ramifications.
So after 17 years of no compensation, nor gratitude from your record label, this is what I get in return from @Donjazzy.
With all due respect @wandecoal pls remind your ex-oga how I left my event to go search for you inside UNILAG sport centre and then brought you to the backstage. And introduced you while also asking you to sing Ololufe for @Donjazzy and for @Iambangalee at the same show I was paid to perform.
So quick for people to forget a life changing event as such.
Note this has been happening in the entertainment industry for a long time.Where a fellow artist will not want to give his/her colleague credit.
I definitely won’t take this ingratitude and disrespect until you correct yourself by doing the necessary”.
His outburst has sparked various reactions from fans.
