Since yesterday when I saw Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, the National Chairman of APC with Yahaha Bello, APC candidate for November 16 governorship election in Kogi State with President Muhammadu Buhari, I have been under very tremendous pressures to conclude that Nigerians in positions of authorities are extremely wicked and have no respect for the suffering of the masses.
What are the indices of good governance and responsibility that have been exhibited in Kogi State that merited Yahaya Bello ruling Kogi State for another four years.
In a good democracy where government and people in power have respect for the will of the people, can Adams and Buhari dare do what they did yesterday?
Nigerians have been taken for granted for too much. Can Bello name his achievements for the past three and half years he was coronated as governor of Kogi State by the powers that be in this country?
What brand of democracy do we practice when governance is far removed from the people and the welfare of the people does not matter.
There are no good roads in Kogi State. There are no primary healthcare centres in Kogi state. There are no social amenities in Kogi State. Reasonable voices are suppressed and the emperor rules as he likes in the name of white lion.
Yet, the feelings and the suffering of the people of Kogi state matter not to Buhari and Oshiomhole. Then to compound the matter, the failure of governance which Oshiomhole spoke off eloquently concerning Yahaya Bello’s government in Kogi no longer matters to the ruling APC and their collaborators in Kogi State.
Let me not be understood as doing the bidding of anyone here. I am not a politician and I do not belong to any political parties in Nigeria or elsewhere but I am a pan Africanist and Nigerian of African parents.
I am concerned that APC can foist on the people of Kogi state the man who shows no respect to the vast majority of the people of Kogi state and yet bragging 4+4.
When we speak of bad governance Kogi state is the best example. That is the state where there is every good thing you need, yet the people are lacking every good thing of life.
I find it extremely difficult to find that man’s inhumanity to man is what is being visited on us in Kogi State. I challenge the president of Nigeria to go to Kogi state and let emperor Yahaya Bello point to visible projects done by him as governor and the basic amenities he provided for the people, since he inherited the votes of late Prince Abubakar Audu.
Let the truth be told no matter what. This government must know that there is a limit to human endurance.
