Omipidan appointed CPS to Oyetola

Ismail Wale Omipidan has been appointed as the Chief Press Secretary to the governor of Osun state, Mr Gboyega Oyetola. He took over from Mr Adeniyi Adesina who served in that capacity earlier. By mutual consent, Adeshina left to pursue other endeavours

The new CPS was an Assistant Editor (politics) at The Sun newspaper before his new appointment.

Omipidan, who attended University of Maiduguri, hails from Ila Orangun, but was born and brought up in Oturpo, Benue state. He has over 20 years of experience in journalism practice.

He had worked at different times in Daily Trust, The Punch and the defunt Comet. In the course of his job, he had reported from Kaduna, Maiduguri, Abuja and from the National Assembly becoming the chairman of the Senate Press Corp at one time.

A gentleman par excellence, Omipidan is a veteran who will bring his enormous goodwill, skills and ethical conduct, to bear on his new job.
